CNN has edited the article to remove the quote, but the interesting thing here is that you have the President of the United States and Max Mayfield having to call and urge/ask LA to start evacuation.

Relevant quote: Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco said that President Bush had called and urged the state to order the evacuation.

Unfortunately, you're probably correct. While condemnation of Bush is a given, regardless of the situation, the seeming complete pass that Nagin and Blanco are receiving is unbelievable. The speed they have thrown blame at Bush should act as the crack of the starting pistol on the critique of their performance.
