Red Cross was prepared for immediate supplying of Superdome

That's right, the State of Louisiana's Homeland Security department blocked the Red Cross from bringing food and water from the first day. According to the head of the Red Cross (now making televised interviews), the LHSD didn't want food/water brought in since they didn't want the evacuees to get too comfortable and stay.

The incompetent Governor didn't want anything done that would cost the state money.... Screw 'em all, let the feds sort it out (and pay for it)!!! That was her attitude. That seems to be the entire Emergency Management Plan.

Apparently for Gov. Blonco and Mayor Nagin, if the problem can't be taken care of by buying someone off, or being bought off, they want nothing to do with it. Anyone of the whores on Bourbon Street would have done a better job. ;~D

At least with them, you know what you get for your money. You're right though, it seems they completely ignored all the plans they have been publishing all these years and the training they had done just a year ago and just said forget it. I can't wait for the Mayor's "We can't help you, you're on your own" PSA to be shown.
